Complete!

All done.  I just need to make a few adjustments and I'll be ready for Dragon Con.

Loki's Belt Buckle

There are two different belt buckles in the comic.  The one in the interior is just a boring plain oval.  The one of the cover is much more exciting so that's what I decided to go with.  

Boar's Head

This sculpt was done by my very talented wife, Tasha.  It goes in the center of Loki's head piece.

Pike Topper

Loki carries a kick-ass pike.  This is the top.  It's just 1/8 inch plastic.  I sanded the edges to make it look like it's sharp, but actually it's very blunt.

Getting some things done

With Dragon Con only three weeks away, I'm in the final push.


I finished up the weather of the armor:

I also have the helmet all painted, I just need to add some weathering:

And I added the leather and fur to the boots, so they are done and ready to go:

The Tunic

The tunic is done!  My wife did a great job with it.


Next up will be the pants.

Helmet getting close

I've made some good progress with the helmet this weekend.  


I installed the strap system from bike helmet so now it stays on my head much better.  I also have it primed and ready for painting.

Helmet Topper

I was worried about how I was going to do the top of the helmet.  Thanks to the awesome talent of my father in law, I now have a perfect topper.
